Cat Home Care and Cat Sitting Service FAQs
Having chatted with lots of cat owners, many of whom had lots of questions,
I thought it might be a good idea to list those cat questions and answer them individually.
Q. I have three cats - would you charge me more for the visits?
A. Yes - I would have to charge a little more to cover my additional time.
Q. How much time would you spend with my cat on each visit?
A. This will depend on the number of cats and what your cat's requirements are.
My visit will last as long as is needed - because your cat comes first…
Q. Can you care for my cats over the week end?
A. Yes I can care for your cats over a weekend.
Q. What if my cat needs medication whilst I am away?
A. I am happy to administer medication to your cat - I will ensure that I follow your or your vet's instructions.
Q.I will be worried about my cat whilst I am away - would you text or telephone me to let me know how he/she is?
A. Of course, I would be more than happy to text you with an update (depending on the country).
Q. What happens if my cat becomes ill whilst I am away?
A. If your cat becomes ill whilst you are away I will in the first instance call your own vet.
If he is not available I will transport your cat to the first available vet for an emergency consultation.
(Please note it is the responsibility of the owner to pay all medical vet bills relating to illness.)
Q. Is there a particular time that you would visit my cat?
A. No, it will be according to your cat's requirements and needs, and will be agreed at the initial consultation.
Q. Can you take my cat to the vet?
A. I would be happy to transport you cat to the vet in our fully insured vehicle (for check-ups / visits only (Unfortunately I am unable to transport your vet if he/she has a contagious disease).
Q. Do you sell pet products for my cat or other animals?
A. I do sell pet products for dogs, cats and small animals. Please visit my Bark2school website.
Q. Can I teach my cat to live with my new puppy?
A. I am pleased to say yes - most cats will accept a new puppy, if the puppy is introduced to his new friends and trained correctly.
In fact I am going through this experience myself with my new puppy Holly, a Pug.
She is learning how to behave around my three cats and my cats are gradually learning to accept her into their family.
Lots of hard work but achievable in most cases.
Q. Do you offer any other kind of pet service?
A. Yes I offer dog training, dog walking and much more, please refer to my Bark2school website.
Q. Do you provide references?
A. Yes - I would be very happy to provide references
Q. My cat has some behavioural/training problems - are you able to help?
A. We have a fully qualified in house cat behaviourist who would be more than happy to discuss the problems you are experiencing with your cat and to visit you on a one to one basis to provide help and advice.
